Every year, millions of qualified candidates get rejected before a human ever reads their resume. ATS software filters out 75% of applications based on formatting, keyword gaps, and structural issues that have nothing to do with qualifications. We built Plancv to change that.
How It Started
Plancv started in 2023 in Richmond, Kentucky. Our founder had spent months applying to jobs, tailoring resumes by hand, and hearing nothing back. After reverse-engineering how ATS systems actually parse resumes, the pattern became clear: great candidates were being filtered out by software that couldn't read their resumes properly.
The first version of Plancv was a simple tool that scored resumes against real ATS parsing algorithms. When early users started reporting 3-4x more interview callbacks, we knew we were onto something. Today, over 50,000 job seekers use Plancv to build resumes that get past the filters and in front of real decision-makers.
